Alicante Airport bus: the C-6 to the city centre
The C-6 bus is the only direct public transport between Alicante-Elche Airport (ALC) and the centre of Alicante. It runs 24 hours a day, every day of the year, costs €3.85 one way, takes about 25 minutes and has space for luggage. Where to catch the C-6 at the airport
Leave the arrivals terminal and follow the signs for the bus stop, on the ground floor immediately outside. The C-6 departs from a marked bay signed “Bus Alicante - C-6”. You do not need to book: buy the ticket from the driver as you board, in cash or contactless.
Going the other way, the most useful stops for travellers heading to the airport are Puerta del Mar (by the port and the Explanada promenade), Luceros and the bus station. Those three connect with the rest of the city network, the TRAM and Alicante Terminal railway station.
Price and tickets
The C-6 has its own fare, separate from the rest of Alicante's city buses:
- Single ticket: €3.85, paid on board in cash or contactless.
- Rechargeable airport pass: from €16, cheaper per trip than singles.
- Children under 4: free when travelling with an adult.
The city's Bono 10 and 30-day travelcards are not valid on the C-6 — it is a separate fare. Current details are on the TAM Alicante fares page.
Timetable and frequency
The C-6 runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including public holidays and Christmas. From Vectalia's official timetable (version 25-03):
- By day: a bus every 14 minutes, from 05:50 to 21:20 from Puerta del Mar, and from 06:58 to 22:00 from the airport.
- Night, from the airport: 22:35, 23:00, 23:35, then 00:00, 00:35, 01:00, 01:35, 02:00, 03:00, 04:00, 05:00, 05:30, 06:00 and 06:30.
- Night, from Puerta del Mar: 21:55, 22:20, 22:55, 23:20, 23:55, then 00:20, 00:55, 01:20, 02:20, 03:20, 04:20, 04:50, 05:20 and 05:50.
Traffic and public holidays can shift these. For the actual next departure, open the C-6 line page or the live map and tap your stop — AliBus shows real arrival times from the operator, not a printed timetable.
Landing late at night?
The C-6 keeps running through the night, with a bus from the airport at most an hour apart, so a late landing does not mean a taxi. If you would rather not wait, a taxi to the centre is a fixed fare of about €20–25, higher at night and on public holidays. Uber, Cabify and Bolt all operate in Alicante with variable pricing.

Getting to Benidorm, Torrevieja or Elche
The C-6 only runs between Alicante city and the airport — it does not continue to the resorts. For other destinations:
- Benidorm: direct coaches run from the airport by ALSA and seasonal operators. The TRAM does not serve the airport; it starts in Alicante city.
- Torrevieja and the southern Costa Blanca: served by regional coach operators from the airport terminal.
- Elche: the airport is officially Alicante-Elche and sits between the two cities; regional buses serve Elche directly.
Once you are in the province, AliBus shows live arrivals for Alicante, Elche, Benidorm and the Marina Baixa, the TRAM and more.
